The business of selling betting tips and football predictions in Kenya is dead. It was lucrative between 2013 and 2022 where people were making up to millions of Kenyan shillings through providing of tips. In Kenya, those who used to buy the odds are getting old and out of the game. The Gen Z ,who are supposed to buy them, are so intelligent, they analyse for themselves.
I have also observed that Kenyans generally donβt have moneyβthey are broke. Due to the bad economy Kenyans are experiencing, itβs hard for them to pay for the tips. They instead use that money to buy food and pay rent.
Another thing which has killed this industry is tax. Currently, there is stake and winning tax. This forced many gamblers to stop betting. You can even notice that many betting sites stopped operating in Kenya due to heavy taxation.
In case you are planning to start selling betting odds, change your mind and do something else. The business is not profitable at the moment. Even if you market them on Telegram, YouTube or through your blog,you wonβt get a substantial number of Kenyans buying the tips.
